Our fields

Different faculties, different thinking

We cover the disciplines where coursework is most demanding. Each field asks for a different kind of reasoning, so the support follows what your assessment requires rather than a house template.

FieldCommon tasksHow we help
Business & Finance Case studies, financial analysis, strategy reports Case study guidance and data interpretation, with the recommendation tied back to the numbers
IT & Engineering Technical and project reports, system design, lab write-ups Report structure and analytical writing, so the method and the result read as one argument
Health & Social Sciences Research reports, critical essays, reflective practice Assignment planning and academic editing, with the evidence base held to the standard your unit expects

Studying something not on this list? Send the brief anyway. The rubric tells us more about the work than the faculty name does.

Assessment types

Eight shapes of task, and what each one wants

Faculties differ, but the assessments repeat. Knowing which shape you have been handed settles most of the structure before you write anything.

01

Analytical essay

One argument, carried from the first paragraph to the last. The marker is checking whether the position survives the whole piece.

02

Technical report

Method, results and discussion each doing their own job. The executive summary has to stand alone for a reader who stops there.

03

Case study

A framework used on the facts of this case. The recommendation has to follow from the analysis, not arrive beside it.

04

Literature review

Organised by theme or by argument, never by author. The gap you identify is what the rest of the work is for.

05

Lab or data report

What the output shows, what it supports, and what it does not. A table of numbers is not yet a finding.

06

Reflective piece

A real incident read through the model your unit named. Without the model it is a diary; without the incident it is theory.

07

Capstone or project

Months of work judged as one document. Scope, evidence and the write-up have to agree with each other.

08

Proposal or plan

A question worth asking, a method that can answer it, and a timeline a supervisor believes. Feasibility is the mark.

Across six faculties

The faculty changes the vocabulary. It rarely changes what the rubric wants.

Units we see most

The names change, the problem does not

A handful of units fill our inbox every semester. Different faculties, same complaint: the content is learnable, the assessment is not obvious.

Tools and methods

Whatever your unit made you install

Half the difficulty in a data or modelling assignment is not the writing, it is getting the software to produce something you can defend. We read the output you already have, or work out which tool the task actually wants.

Statistics and data

Descriptives, tests, regression and classification, with the assumption checks your rubric expects you to report rather than skip.

Visualisation and reporting

A dashboard or a story is marked on what it lets the reader conclude. Chart choice, axis honesty and a caption that states the finding.

TableauPower BIMatplotlibggplot2

Modelling and specialist

Inventory, impact categories and the burden shifting an LCA is supposed to surface. Qualitative coding held to the same standard.

Using something not listed? Send the brief with the output you have. The task matters more than the software that produced it.

Send a brief

Tell us what the task actually asks

Send the brief, the rubric and the deadline. You get back a plan for that specific task, a quote for that scope, and nothing added later.

  • The assignment brief and the marking rubric
  • Word count, unit code and due date
  • Lecture slides or readings, if the task leans on them
  • Anything already drafted, however rough
